From mascara to fragrances and lip balms, there’s always that one beauty product we rely the most on a day-to-day basis. You know, it’s the one we use till the very last drop or scoop out every last bit out of the jar to make sure nothing goes to waste. It’s the one we have been using consistently over the past few years and have multiple bottles and/or jars stacked on our shelves. So, what is that one constant in your ever-evolving beauty routine?

For me, a niacinamide serum has been an absolute constant in my routine over the past four years, with The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% being my holy grail. I don’t think I remember the last time this wasn’t there on my shelf. And to be honest, I have easily gone through more than a dozen of these cult-favourite bottles since using it for the very first time, and it genuinely has a definite place in my skin routine for taking care of my combination, acne-prone skin woes. I’m fairly impressed with how it makes my skin smoother and makes my face look shine-free by controlling the sebum activity, improving the skin texture, and minimizing pore appearance. It has also helped in fading out many blemishes and spots and even acts as an amazing base for makeup. Yes, it’s my ultimate skin saviour!

“My favourite product of all time has to be FAE Beauty’s Brash in the shade Jet Black. Brash is a unique formula that was made to be used on both the lashes and brows, so it makes your makeup routine that much faster and more efficient, especially when you’re in a hurry! Using Brash makes me feel instantly more awake, and like, I can handle anything that life throws at me that day.”

“One beauty staple that has been with me forever is a LIP BALM. I think it all started with the fascination of clear gloss during my teen years, which eventually turned into a habit/practice I couldn’t get rid of. It irks me so much when my lips are dry.
I heavily relied on Vaseline for a long time till Laneige launched the Lip Sleeping Mask. It’s actually a sleeping mask for lips, but you can also use it as a balm. It’s so freakishly good that I’ve not had chapped flaky lips since I started using it. I literally smear it across my lips before applying matte lipsticks, and boy, it holds the lipstick strong! This will always be a staple because even the most expensive high-performance lipstick/lip colour can look shit if you got dry, flaky lips. And well, hydration is the key for everything in beauty or skincare.”

“A beauty staple in my routine would have to be sunscreen. The iS Clinical Eclipse SPF 50 + is a physical sunscreen with a slight tint that glides onto the skin and leaves no white cast whatsoever. It’s the perfect two-in-one sunscreen, i.e. it protects and also adds the most beautiful glow.”

“My absolute staple is Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum. Yes, it’s a female fragrance, but I love it! You know, just eff gender-based perfumes!”

“An absolute staple in my routine would be a bb cream which has SPF 30 or above – like Nykaa SKINgenius BB Cream SPF 30 as it gives a little tint and makes skin look even and fresh. And it works perfectly for touch-ups when out and about, courtesy easy application and added sun protection.”

“No matter how many things I try, there will always be products that have a permanent place in my beauty stash and a special place in my heart, like NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer
I was born looking like I needed a nap—my hereditary dark circles don’t budge, no matter what I do. The only thing that makes it disappear is the Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer, it’s my ride-or-die, and I would literally die if they ever stopped making it. It sets a very high standard of how a full coverage concealer should behave (believe me, I’ve tried them all!). It goes on creamy, has just enough slip to be beautifully blendable, doesn’t cake or crease, settles velvety, doesn’t require a powder to set (although its stronger with a powder), isn’t chalky or drying, covers dark circles, pigmentation, acne, and whatever else you’re trying to hide! It’s ridiculously long-lasting, sits comfortably with or without a foundation. The consistency is skin-like. You won’t need to build it up, and a pot will last you almost a year, even if you use it for 365 days. It photographs beautifully, without that ghost-flash effect. It’s my “Of course, I went to bed at a reasonable time” product and honestly, we’ve never spent even a day apart. It is the best concealer in the world—it’s so good, it could cover up a crime!”

“The one beauty product that rely the most on a day-to-day basis is Deviant Cleansing Concentrate, after all, a good cleanser is the most important step in your routine. This is a balm-to-milk cleanser that can either be washed off or cleansed with a cloth. It’s gentle, yet very effective in taking off waterproof makeup, the morning skincare, and grime.”

” I’m obsessed with Chanel’s Le Lift Crème. I have been using it for almost a year and with every use, my skin feels insanely moisturized and plump. And its gorgeous fragrance is definitely a plus. As an editor, I try a lot of products but I always keep coming back to it. It has definitely helped keep my skin happy throughout stressful days and weeks and improved the texture.”

“I have quite a lot of staples like a brow gel and a dewy sunscreen, but my absolute ride or die that I can’t step outside the house without has to be the Palmer’s Ultra Moisturizing Lip Balm SPF 15 in chocolate & cherry because lips are what completes your face, yet most people overlook them. I don’t ever leave my lips dry and unattended from sun protection. I love how the balm tastes lowkey like a dessert, so you don’t have to eat extra calories for your sugar cravings!”
