As much as we love winter, it’s always hard to let go of summer. Every year as the winter steps in, we switch our summer dresses, crop tops and tie-up sandals with faux fur coat, sweaters and boots with a heavy heart. This year, let’s take things slowly and ease into the winter with our summer gear and few layering tricks in hand.

Walking into Monday like… I got this!

The quickest way to take your cute dress from summer to winter is by layering a good old flannel shirt over it just like Shereen (@shereenlovebug). You can even layer the dress over a turtleneck and finish off with chic knee-high boots. Moving onto crop tops and slit skirts, don’t just push them at the back of your closet yet. Instead take inspiration from Aimee Song (@songofstyle) and pair your slit skirts with chunky knits. Also, always remember that chunky knits make a great canvas for layering necklaces to give your outfit an extra dose of glam.

And for the revival of crop tops, camisoles and sports bras, wear them under statement blazers and cardigans like Jeanette Madsen (@_jeanettemadsen_) and Valentina Ferragni (@valentinaferragni). If you can’t let go off summer brights, then don’t fret because there’s always colour blocking to your help. Like Yana (@laviedupapillon) pair up your favourite candy-coloured skirt or pants with a contrasting yet bright knit outerwear and bring out the coloured accessories as well for added fun. Else for a fail-proof look, get your favourite blue jeans and white T-shirt together and layer with a trench coat to keep the classic vibe alive.

While the unpredictable cold waves continue to make us miss summer, take out your precious warm weather clothes and wear them to beat the gloomy winter with summer sunshine.
