There’s nothing more satisfying yet painful as seeing the empty pack of your most-loved skincare and/or makeup. Weather you’re a beauty products hoarder or a top-shelf minimalist, chances are, if you manage to finish a product, you definitely LOVE it. So, as a part of #RSqDialogue on Instagram stories, we asked people to share their latest beauty empties with us. A lot of our favourite editors, bloggers and followers kindly participated. Let’s see what they told us –
Micellar Waters & Cleansers:
Indian Express Fashion editor and mom to a one-year-old baby girl, Kimi Dangor (@kimidangor), gave a shout out to Lancôme’s Micellar Cleaning Water as it works beautifully for her sensitive skin. Our reader, Anita Paul (@exbandragirl) is at the bottom of her Bioderma Micellar water and The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam. Another reader, Nivedita Ravishankar (@lensflarechild) is loyal to Sephora’s Charcoal Micellar Water and Milk.
The gorgeous, Delhi-based fashion and spaces blogger, Surbhi Sethi aka @Headtilt, is finishing off her Kama Ayurveda Anti-Acne Cleansing Foam.
Face Mists & Toners:
Kama Ayurveda’s Pure Rosewater came out as a top favourite! Soup magazine’s editor Meera Ganpathi (@onemeerkat) says it’s the most refreshing thing ever and Ripe mag’s Shirin Salwan (@shirinsalwan) is already on her third bottle and can’t do without it. Our favourite digital ninja (Ex-Vogue India, currently with Wed Me Good) absolutely loves the Son & Park Beauty Water.
Face Oils & Serums
Kimi Dangor also recommends Kama Ayurveda Extra-Virgin Organic Coconut Oil. It was her go-to during her pregnancy and now works wonderfully for her baby too! Spardha Malik (@spardhamalik), Digital Editor – Ogaan, uses Bio Oil on her face pretty religiously.
The Wedding Brigade co-founder, Devika Patel (@devikapatel1), is almost done with her Herbs + Heart Jasmine, Green Coffee and Avocado Elixir. She says, “it gets rid of dark circles and tired skin overnight. It’s pure magic and completely natural.”
Photographer Faiza Sheikh (@fezsheikh) is all into Buffet serum by The Ordinary. Runway Square art director Shaista Syed, is a fan of Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair serum (Who isn’t! Right?). Our Dubai-based reader Poonam Jayaprakash (@poonamjp) is hooked to Caudalie Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum which was recommended to her by a friend.
Indian blogger, Khushnaz Ashdin Turner (@kat_diaries) and The Hauterfly Editor-in-chief Zahra Khan (@zahrakhan25) are ardent fans of Estée Lauder Supreme GLobal Anti-aging Cream! Khan says, “It’s so so good! Also, pricey AF, but well worth the money. I have oily skin, and this rich cream doesn’t sit heavy on the skin and works like a dream.”
Blogger and Content Creator Anushka Mulchandani (@anushkamulchandani) recently wiped clean her Clinique Dramatically Different Gel. And Latha Sunad is finishing her second jar of Clinique Moisture Surge, “Because it’s summer and it keeps me beautifully hydrated.”
Our editor Charu Gaur is heartbroken that MAC Matchmaster Foundation has just last three drops left and Surbhi Sethi is about to finish her Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation by Dior. RSq reader Anita Paul also, has a great makeup tip, she says, “The combination of MAC Studio Fix Foundation Powder and NYX Mattifying Setting Spray is bulletproof! I’ve done many long-haul flights looking freshly touched up throughout.”
The last product Hello! Magazine’s Assistant Digital Editor, Farah Palia (@farahpalia), finished was Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow sculpting palette. Which according to CT website, “helps you slim, sculpt, shorten, trim and highlight your features for fabulous red carpet ready facial framework.” Gimme that!
