Well, we have already established that we are not a fan of packing for air travels after all who likes to downsize their beauty routine and/or products so that one of our favourite products doesn’t end up in a bin at the airport. But this results in multiple burning questions like which eyeshadow palette to choose? Which serum is worthy? Should we carry a face mask? And what not?!

“One should always carry a bright red lipstick that instantly brightens up their face. It takes the attention away from dull, tired eyes and is great for the holiday pictures. This is really a tried and tested hack to effortless glamour on the go. Also, not many people realize that nude lips are more high maintenance than bright lips. My favourite is MAC All Fired Up as its neither blood red nor fuchsia pink, but a perfect balance that works every time.
And then, I am also very particular about hair care and always carry a travel size hair serum to give my hair shine and protection from sun. Like Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil Serum or Wella Professionals Sp LuxeOil. Besides this, you’ll also find La Shield Sunscreen Gel, a mini face mist, Lancôme Juicy Shaker Pigment Infused Lip Oil (Berry Tale), black eyeliner (pencil or roll-on format), Bobbi Brown Golden Amber Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow in my travel bag. You know, if I have a just a minute to touch up, I’ll put the sunscreen, eyeshadow and lip tint.”

Estée Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi Action Cleansing Gelée, Rs.2500

I take out time for a rich hair oil treatment – and if I need it, a hair trim; and a manicure/pedicure – before I travel. I never know how the climate at my destination would affect my (oily) scalp and (dry) hair, so the TLC keeps it protected, soft and manageable. And I can’t travel without a trustworthy face cleanser. Like my hair, my skin, too, is of the ‘combination’ variety and I like it to be clear, bright and ‘mattified’. The Estée Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi Action Cleansing Gelée has become one of my go-to travel essentials.”

“Since I have super sensitive combination skin, my travelling mantra is hydrate, moisturize and hope for the best. I never travel without my Cetaphil sunscreen, Forest Essentials under eye serum and Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, to fight the aftereffects of a long journey.”

“I avoid touching my face when I’m on a flight — the air can be incredibly drying and I’m usually the person piling on a face oil and lotion right before boarding. Lots of moisturiser and everything that will help me catch up on sleep are my travel must-have products. With help from Dame Essentials Silk Sleeping Mask and Go Travel Memory Foam Travel Pillow, I have never slept better while sitting upright. I carry Clinique Fresh Pressed Renewing Powder Face Cleanser, GLOV makeup remover and lip balm (Nuxe, Vaseline or Carmex) in my travel bag. Then I also have with me Dermalogica Barrier Defence Booster oil to deal with irritated, dry skin and Smashbox Photo Finish Primer which is great under makeup and even when worn by itself as it smoothes out the texture.

“Never ever step out, especially when travelling, without a sunscreen. Travelling and touristy stuff means exposure to sun for long hours which leads to not just tanning but also pigmentation and patchiness. Therefore, you’ll always find a sunscreen in my travel bag. Also, it’s always best to reapply every few hours.”
