Pharrell Williams’ Ode To Holi – The Festival Of Colour

The happy song maker, fashion icon, producer and an overall fantastic youth idol, Pharrell Williams is all set to launch his new adidas Originals collection inspired by Holi – the Indian festival of colour.

What to expect, you ask? As a continuation of William’s HU journey with adidas Originals, now in its fourth year, he is launching the HU Holi Powder Dye collection. It takes inspiration from Holi and plays with a breakthrough technique to create subliminal powder dyed apparel prints in pastels. And for shoes, he celebrated a riot of colour and energy.

Our favourite pieces from the Hu Holi Powder Dye collection are the unisex Hu Holi tee which boasts reflective Velcro patch detailing embroidered with the phrase “HU MAN BEING,” the multilayered, oversize Hu Holi FZ Hood features reflective piping, Colorado-inspired cutlines, and tone-on-tone embroidery of the words “SPECIES” across its back. In shoes, we love the adidas Originals by Pharrell Williams Hu NMD with sublimated powder dye effect on the inside collar, and two with the sublimated uppers to take on the powder dyed aesthetic, all complimented with reflective laces, and two powder-dyed iterations of the PW Human Race, with contrast-color lining and a marbleized effect on its stabilizer.

 

Priced between Rs. 6,999 and 19,999, the collection is launching exclusively in India on March 01, 2018, two weeks prior to launching in other global markets. It will be available at adidas Originals stores at Linking Road (Mumbai) and DLF Promenade (Delhi) and on shop.adidas.co.in
